Return to: Natural Sciences Information Technology is concerned with the problem of managing, using, and communicating information to support decision making, and with the task of finding the proper combination of people, procedures, and technology for the design of effective information systems.

Core Courses, 6 courses (18 credits)
Electives, 5 courses (15 credits)
Any INFSCI courses not used to fulfill another requirement may be taken as an elective. Possible electives include:
Related Area, 4 courses (12 credits)
Take four courses from a single department such as Management, Psychology, Communication, or Mathmatics. Other departmetns in the Naqtural Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, and Humanities may also be used as a related area.
Students may also choose a Minor rather than a related area which is often a total of 15 credits depending upon the chosen Minor.
Capstone Experience, 1 course (3 credits)
Total Credits: 48 credits
48 credits: 36 cr. in INFSCI and 12 cr. in related area
Note:
Information Technology students must earn a grade of C- or better in each of the prescribed courses for the major and the related area.
