HAA 1015 - METHODS OF ART HISTORY Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is designed to introduce students to the theories and basic methods used by art historians, and to the research tools needed to employ these methods. We will explore the different approaches to art objects and their historical contexts used in the discipline of art history. The goal of this course is to teach the student how to read critically as well as to learn to identify, interpret, and use a variety of research methodologies as you collect, read, analyze, and discuss representative texts.
