In this course, students are taught American Sign Language (ASL) vocabulary and grammatical structures. Development of basic expressive and receptive skills is emphasized within a cultural context. Students will be able to comprehend and respond with grammatical accuracy to expressive ASL. Out-of-class participation in deaf community events is encouraged.
