CJ 1110 - VIOLENT CRIMEMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will adopt a multi-disciplinary approach in examining the causes and consequences of violent behavior. We will study major theories of violent crime causation, and the relationship between the media, public perception, and public policy. Special topics will include serial murder, mass rape, genocide, domestic violence, and the violence perpetrated by street gangs.
