MUSIC 0802 - MUSIC FOR SOCIAL CHANGEMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will look at the evolution of music as a tool in the quest for change the United States and the world as a whole. Students will be introduced to the important pieces of music that have been created and used to shed light on social and political aspects in our country such as racism, war, poverty, prison reform and the ecology. The course will then examine how music has aided in more global reform efforts and how music has become a very influential tool in shaping these efforts.
