HIST 1222 - NARCOS AND JUSTICE: THE FAILED DRUG WARS IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE UNITED STATESMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course explores the history of narco trafficking and the justice systems in both Latin America and the United States from the 1960s to the present. The course emphasizes how different Latin American countries and the United States responded and continue to respond to the proliferation of the illicit drug trade and its consequences, including the increase in violence and criminal activity, and the social repercussions of these actions on local communities.
