NATSC 0075 - EARTH AND SPACE SCIENCEMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course addresses physics and earth & space science with a focus on the discovery of the basics of astronomy and how newtonian laws of motion, Kepler's laws of planetary motion and Einstein's relativity led to the understanding of the universe today. The concept of light and its importance will be discussed as well as the tools used in modern astronomy such as telescopes, spectroscopes and charged coupled devices. With this framework developed, our current knowledge of the solar system, exaplanets and the possibility of life beyond earth will be addressed.
