ENGWRT 1170 - SHORT STORY WORKSHOP

This course features rigorous discussion of stories written by students as well as stories by contemporary practitioners of literary and genre fiction, including science fiction and fantasy. Each student will write and revise at least four stories over the semester. Students will read a variety of texts that will inspire their own writing. Students will be encouraged to participate in the wider literary community on campus, including joining or contributing to Pendulum, the student literary magazine, and the Creative Writing Club. Guest authors enhance the experience in this course.
