BIOSC 1275 - GENOMICSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 The sequencing of the human genome has revolutionized the way in which we think about diverse biological topics. This course will explore how advances in our understanding of such subjects have been made possible by innovative sequencing technologies. This course will combine lecture, roundtable discussions and group presentations to explore how such technologies have allowed scientists to analyze genome-wide correlations between species to ultimately provide deeper insight into genome structure and function, the evolution of genomes, and the greater roles of genome analysis and editing in modern medicine.
