This introductory course offering prepares the student, interested in art and film, to examine artistic nuances by the exploration of five divergent genres: 1) documentary & non-fiction, 2) drama and romance, 3) comedy and coming-ofage, 4) sci-fi, horror and cult filmography and 5) film noir. Ideas reviewed in this in-depth study course will include: 1) directing, 2) acting, 3) design and 4) hero-worship in regard to trends and social relationships as well as the film industry's historical significance to the world at large.
