HIST 1008 - PUBLIC HISTORYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will examine the theory and practice of public history, including museums and historical sites, archive and record collection, historical preservation, genealogy and historical societies. The changing purposes, functioning and goals of these organizations will be examined, as well as some of their basic tools and techniques. Students will participate in projects which give them some actual experience in the methodology and/or operation of these areas.
