ENGLIT 1244 - MINORITY WRITERS FROM CITIESMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course examines major figures, with special emphasis on African American writers, whose novels, plays, stories, and poems speak from urban centers of the twentieth century. Writers may include Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston, James Baldwin, Richard Wright, Gwendolyn brooks, John Edgar Wideman, Toni Morrison, August Wilson, Alice Walker, and others.
