This course will explore the wide variety of definitions of rape in the United States and throughout the world. It will provide a global perspective of how rape and sexual assault are measured. It will examine how rape and sexual assault victims are treated in various parts of the world. It will describe prevention strategies that can/are taken by various societies Also, a discussion of treatment programs (if any) for survivors of rape and sexual assault in different areas of the globe will complete the class.
