PSY 1355 - ADOLESCENCEMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 The period of adolescence will first be studied from both a psychological and sociological perspective. Focus is on the individual as he/she experiences physical, cognitive, and social changes. Contributions of such theorists as Freud, Erikson, and Piaget are highlighted. A number of critical issues and conflicts of adolescence are discussed i.e. the generation gap, sex roles and behaviors, juvenile delinquency.
