CJ 1138 - CRIMINAL JUSTICE ETHICSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course examines the ethical dilemmas and questions that arise in policing, corrections and the judiciary. Various philosophical perspectives will be discussed and applied via practical case studies. Additionally, students will explore how the criminal justice system addresses competing interests in various ethical scenarios; the legal impact of certain types of ethical misconduct; and how the criminal justice system attempts to prevent and address ethical misconduct.
