MATH 0050 MATH OPERATIONS AND FUNCTIONSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course covers a wide variety of important areas in mathematics. Patterns, problem solving, logical reasoning, probability, and data analysis are studied so students learn to communicate mathematical ideas effectively. Ways to represent different types of numbers and the operations and relationships between them are explored with computational algorithms, estimation techniques, and some use of calculators. Mathematical concepts, functions, and introductory geometry and trigonometry are explored with manipulatives.
