HAA 0370 - REMBRANDTMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This core level art history course, intended for a beginning student with no background in art history (but also open to devotees and majors), offers an introduction to Rembrandt by an intensive examination of his life, and his art; paintings, drawings, and etchings. The course is arranged chronologically, so that as the term proceeds we follow Rembrandt from his earliest training and his fascination with baroque dynamism through his greatest success as Amsterdam's most popular portraitist to his moving and universal final works.
